This was a good representation of the event. Any reason why this is not going in print? Did we do anything with Extreme?

I also sent 70 different pics and another article to xtreme..... not sure what happened at rcca but Matt Higgins they guy we set it up with last year is gone... K Hetmanski is in charge now he said he was going to do what he could ......at least it didn't go in the trash...I will find out if that is it.... I think so ...if that is the case we will use the 70 pics I sent rcca on our website...

I hate to ask, but where was all the pulling pictures? If we want to get this in the magazines, then we need some more dirt flinging action shots. We have a bunch of sweet shots of the monster trucks.

I have been writing for an R/C mag for the past 8 months or so and I have been trying to push the pulling scene, but I have not had the best of luck. I am hoping by the time I have been there for a year they let me write something on pulling. We are hoping to make it to spring nationals and maybe we can get an article put together after that.

i would have to agree.there are always more of the monster trucks than there is of the pulling.

the pulling got what seemed to be 80% of the article, where the racing side got a few more action pics most likely because phil was stuck over on the racing side most of the weekend. this club is a two-way street guys, both sides have to be represented which i think was done well.

what I need next year is someone to be on the racing side to write that side and I am normally stuck on the pulling side maybe 2 photogs maybe interviews with drivers breakdown of what is in the trucks and pics of their winning rigs I think if we work on this it can get better.I am looking at all of the articles (now) and tring to steal new ideas...this will work.... it will get done...I think extreme got a few more pulling shots .....

BTW leave positive feedback on that article...that is how crawling took over R/C it was a concentrated effort like that.....

Matt is totally on spot. Phil took a lot of pictures of both divisions. Phil is also competing in the event so naturally more of his time is going to be spent where he is pitted and competing. I don't think I ever saw him during the weekend with out the camera around his neck. Also don't forget that Phil bailed the association out when the original guy backed out at the last minute. I think Joe is correct in thinking of two guys for next time. Imagine all the pictures that Phil took times two???? The problem is finding someone that is reasonably priced and or willing to take pictures all weekend long. If you have any ideas for that person I am sure that Joe would entertain all applicants.

I hope that I did not strike any nerves, I was not there, I was just commenting on what we could do to improve. The article was great. I just want to try and do what we can to increase the number of people who reconize what we are doing and hopefully they get involved. If I am able to make it to springs, I will bring the DSLR and try to get all the pictures I can. For a typical 1 day pull out here I tend to take 1,000 plus pictures.

Have you contacted RC Driver to see if they would cover publish the event. Let me know if you would like some contact information.

no don't worry about that..... we need 11 men pulling on a rope......I think that is how crawling did it they got into everywhere and created a big niche....AND you can crawl anywhere you don't need a track or an event to go to you can crawl over stuff at home that is also probably 50% of it....lets just do better/more

What was the rope for? Was there soap on the end of it LOL!!!! I know that I have tried different magazines personally and have not even got a response back. I am not a supporter of RCCA at all, but at least they let us write an article and take pictures of the event for their site. At least it was something. We should be turning over every stone that we see in order to get our name out there.
