Motor dyno and Chassis dyno
Etzkorn:
Yes, I do have a dyno. I have a couple different ones. I have four different motor dynos, and I have a chassis dyno. What are you looking to do?? I will do my best to help in any way I can. I just got the chassis dyno up and running, it is really fun to see how the gearing and drive line can affect your overall power at the rear wheels.
There are many different kinds of motor dyno's. I have a fantom, Competition Electronics, Tekin, Buds, and a home built chassis dyno. There are many members in the NRCTPA that have dyno's as well. I know Chris Grady has one, and he does great work with it. There are many more that do. I have learned most of my dyno work the hard way, with just playing around. I also have a book from a good friend of mine from FL, that has a ton of tricks and different ways to get MAX power and run life.
Everyone in the Pulling World has there opinion on what motor is best. I like to use Trinity, and Epic, with aluminum end bells, to work better with heat in the motor. I like to run a lot of timing, and cut the brushs many different ways. I do a long break in time, and try to re-work the motors every 3 to 5 pulls.
If there is anything that I can help with, or if you have any questions, post them, I am sure that some of the other members will help as well.
Thanks
