What's the total investment in this truck?

What was the total investment in this truck with the AX10 chassis (before you switched to the SMT10 chassis)?

Are there reasons that you might prefer the old chassis over the new? I don't know why, but the shorter chassis looks better to me and also looks more fun to drive.

Lastly, how well are the axles holding up to the abuse?

I would also like to know how the truck is holding up to the abuse of jumping and whatnot . I have a wraith that's collecting dust and would like to turn it into a monster truck like this

I have not added up all the costs but probably too much :D

If you were looking for a bit shorter wheelbase and a cheaper option to get started the Deadbolt chassis works well. For me the scale looks, better incorporation of body mounts and shock mounts, slightly longer wheelbase and better integrated sway bar mounts made the SMT chassis a better option.

As far as the axles, so far so good on durability. I was originally having problems with breaking diff gears but since switching to GCM diff cases and Axial diff gears I have not had any more issues. I'm however not super hard on the truck compared to some when running the truck in freestyle.
