Is there any kind of other springs available for the big bore shocks ?
I have the red ones on there, and was looking for others so I could change spring rates, but couldn't find any.
Would HPI have any ?

Traxxas used to make various springs for the big bores years ago when they came on the SRT and TCP racing vehicles, but they have been long since discontinued and you aren't going to find them anywhere - the stock red springs are the only ones still made (2.5 rate). Take a look at Losi springs, as they seem to be the best fit on these shocks and experiment with different lengths and spring rates. There are other springs available from Traxxas (progressive and older ultra shock springs), but they fit a bit looser around the shock body.

There is a couple different places on Ebay I have found them and they are very nice too, dual rate springs.

HERE is the search findings with a bunch springs. Just punch in "maxx shock springs" in the search bar if you have any problems with the link. I bought some of the Black RCBoyz and I am running them on my dual brushless Ripper right now. Not too soft but it stays planted and jumps sweet. Very nice springs.

I went to my local shop and picked up some black springs if i remember correctly they were the rears for the last stampede. The are just a hair longer and stronger then the reds that come with the truck. I could be wrong but i want to say thhey are for the stampede.

I think I may have a solution. I was just looking through my parts bin, and saw that I have some sets of HPI springs that I had previously bought for the shocks I had previously been running. I never used them because I discovered they didn't fit; wrong diameter. However, i just discovered they are the proper diameter for these shocks I'm using now. I just need to cut them down a little as they are currently a bit too long. I think this will work nicely.:tmb

the best springs that I use are the traxxas white progressive springs....same ones like the e maxx brushless comes with...

I have been curious about those progressives do you know if they are harder then the black spings
I never tried the black springs... the white one are good very firm I use them on my clodbuster running jumbo kongs so its a heavy setup and when I replaced the red springs with the white progressive it was 1000% better no kidding...

integy makes a big bag of different weight springs that fit. i know integy is a 4 letter word and i wouldn't recommend any other product of theirs.
