Thats a beautiful body. I like how you did such a clean job, looks kinda as if the body came or was already made that way. Real nice job man, as with all your stuff.

now if you had shaved the roll bar mounts and filled the bed holes it would have been perfect... but I love how clean it is even on the interior

know whatd be even more awesome? is if someone started molding crewcabs for us so there would be no need to do it yourself. I think Scale Hobbies *Matt* has that ability too. Crewcabs is one thing I wait to see someone start to mold up. I'm sure lotta people would buy em up too. I know I would.

It would be neat to have them molded, but then that takes the FUN out of the entire build... Plus you can say you have a one of a Kind where if it is molded then everyone has the same truck..

Cant tell from the pics and with out paint, but with the primer it looks like the back window and door is to wide.

I am very impressed with the stretch job on the inside... that is the most difficult thing when doing the stretch is keeping the inside nice and tidy.

hep, we thought that the rear door looked to wide also.
my piant guy and I found a 1:1 at a used car lot and checked it out.
the rear door on a 1:1 crew cab chevy is as wide as the front door and is what we did on the model. it was a rear pain too because we had to use a 3rd body to get an extra piece of door trim.....

I am not sure if I am corect on this, but didnt the 1:1 trucks have a wind wing in the rear door also? If you add the wind wing it will change the effect of how the door looks longer. I am just not totally sure if they had them?

I think you are correct, now grant it I have never had the privilage as forrest to see one up close so I could be way off. But from the pics.. not sure of the year of the clod, the side marker light is horizontal so it must be early 76 or something.. so my pics may be off and forrest I am sure is correct.
But here is an 83 Chevy Quad perfect side view and the rear door is smaller chrome strip to chrome strip.

Then a pic of a 79 chevy quad and the same thing..

You can just get away with two cabs by taking the A Pillar and cutting it so it will bend up and become horizontal and mold it back in. This is how I did the Quad for Cole.

The side vent in the rear is so close to the rounded corner towards the back it wouldn't make that much of a difference. Now if it was a show truck most likely the vent would be removed. As Forrest has it on his as well.

I am just amazed at how you did the inside... Care to share in the technique? I was thinking that you skimmed it with aluminum but cant really tell. Or it is are really nice fiberglass resin job. I have to give it to you, you have me baffled.:shk

This is just my opinion forrest, but I say add a wind wing to try and less the effect of the rear window being bigger. Dont get me wrong that is some outstanding work, but my first thought when I saw it was the rear window is to big and not to scale. It would not take much at all to add a windwing pillar in there to just see what it looks like :) I am half way tempted to ake this off you hands too. As I know the work into it and I am too lazy in my old age to do more chop work....lol

Hey Cory I hear ya... If I had the cash I would probably pick it up as well because of the extended frame rails.. but with christmas over and done with my pockets have been pretty much depleated for cash.

The Body was mine, but because the time taken to build, I started other projects and sold much of the running gear for the Chevy. Worked out a deal with Forrest, oh well, it turned out great. Maybe if you still have it next month I may re-look it. I'm building a Box art Mountaineer,

Anyone has Mounty wheels?, I have brand new bruiser wheels or maybe I can buy them.

I would say that if you are going to spend that kind of money for a custom Clod bodied bruiser you should next time go with seperating the Bed from the Cab and dropping the floor.
