From the Prez....
Here we are less than a week away from the Pumpkin Smash. Time flies when your having fun. I am very much looking forward to this weekend, It should be a blast. We have several vendors on board sponsoring the race. HPI, SMC, Pro Line, Buku, are all on board just to mention a few, and there are plenty others too.
The weather is looking good as well.
The schedule is gonna be something like this;
Saturday, Registration from 9 to 10ish, drivers meeting around 10:30, then opening ceremony's and group picks up to around 11, and then qualifying starts.
We will go through all the qualifying and then take a break for about an hour if all goes well and we have the time. After break we go into elimination racing. We should finish early enough to relax and have some fun Sat night
Sunday we will reopen registration at 9 to 10ish for those who are only doing things on Sunday. We'll start with the Bajas, then go into freestyle, and finally pulling. We should finish up early enough to get home at a decent hour.
And in case you haven't heard there will be a pumpkin carving contest on Sunday morning. The winner will get a super cool prize, well, I might as well tell you, it's a
freakin autographed piston from Dennis! WOO HOO!!
...but there is a catch, you have to put your pumpkin on the track for freestyle and
Smash it. Its gonna be great! You'll get an extra bonus point or two for how well you smash it.
Be creative with your carvings, I want to see some cool stuff.
There is camping on the property for those of you who want to, and some inexpensive hotels for the rest of y'all. I look forward to seeing all of you there. If you need to car pool or are willing to let me know and I will try to pair you up.
As always if you have any ideas or questions just call or email.
See ya then, Joey 435-0454
