Pulling Club in MI ??

Greetings,

I received word that Patrick Wing, the guy that won the Pro-Stock Raffle tractor, is wanting to start a pulling club in MI. He is working with the fairboard to try and get something started. He is wanting have a demo for the fairboard and public.

WHEN: Saturday, April 5, 2008
WHERE: Washtenaw Farm Council Grounds
5055 Ann Arbor Saline Rd.
Ann Arbor, MI. 48103

The gates open to the public at 10:00 AM and we are allowed in at 8:00 AM. The event will last from 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM.

At this time, the event is ELECTRIC ONLY . . . at this time they are NOT allowing nitro & gas.

Thats also where during the winter, there is a indoor offroad stadium track that has average of 150 entries. They run by-weekly. I know of some local climbers/racers that would be interested.

TNT Pulling isnt putting on the show, send a email to the guy that is. Its posted in the first topic.

I was told that they are bringing a carpet track in and making a dirt track on the floor. It is a demo event, so I am sure if you bring it, they will run it. :rof

Brian, Patrick will be pulling all classes that are there. This is just a demo to help promote the hobby and get some interest in his area. Laura, the kids, and I will be coming up as well as Glen and Helen. If you are free you should stop over and pull for the day. By the glad I could help on the open II.

Since I was unable to attend this event, as I had a prior committment. Can anyone that attended, please give us an update on how this event went?

I heard of several that were planning to attend, I hope that there was a good turn out.

We were there along with a few others. If the road to PA had closed it would have been a small event. Thank you so much to everyone that came out. Spence, Glen and Helen, Darren and Laura, Ken, Paul and of course the guy that put it together, Patrick. If you all remember, Patrick is the one that won the raffle tractor.

The event was just for demonstration this year. The fair board put on an antique tractor show and asked Patrick to put on a demo. He pulled it all together with little to start with. A lot of people wandered in and watched. All in all it was a good event. Jan tells me that Patrick was asked if he could do it again next year. I hope he will. This could turn into a nice national event with some more notice and effort.

We had a good time today at Pat's event. It was good to see the ones that made it out. It was a real good oppertunity to get in with a crowd that really enjoys tractors and pulling. As Matt said I think this is an event that could grow if Pat want's to take it there with some help. Only time will tell, but Laura, the kids, and I will be back again.

Sorry Gang , I could not make it out to this event. But it sounds like it Could be Something Next Year so maybe then I can make it out. Thanks to ALL the Pullers that made the Trip for this Demo.Later HB1 :cool

Mi. I recently attended the event sponsored by Braun & Helmer in Saline , I'm looking for
items of interest to help draw attendance to our market. Are your activities only on Satur-
day ? The one thing I noticed, was there didn't seem to be any announcement on what was
taking place so the attendees knew how your event worked. Is this the usual way the event
works? Are there any members in our area? If not maybe this could be a way to encourage
new members?

Flint, MI is about 3 hr from me, but I will gladly help Patrick Wing if he wants to try and do something there. Granted, that I am open that weekend. LOL

Did you forward this to Patrick Wing ([email protected])? I don't think that he is a member of RCMT, so if he is not will not see your post.

Since he set-up the event that attacted the guy, he should be given the information, so that he can progress from there.
