anyone got a hold of ben?

last week, i sent an email to the address listed, asking about a custom chassis, but he never got back to me...

yeah light weight and made for roads/pavement.

it does look neat and light/fast but also seem's too fragile unless them are all titanium links or something and they should be for $400.00+

Its not fragile, at all. Its been the most robust chassis I have ever owned. All you would need to do is watch Ben freestyle his to full appreciate how tank like they are. Budhatrain put it best. Just because they are more complex doesnt make them look fragile. ESP chassis are about as simple as you get and they have the structural integrity of cheese. Its all in the design and the the setup.

Its still the nicest clod chassis available IMO. You get what you pay for.

Do you have any idea what you are talking about? There is not another clod chassis with more bracing or quality material than a prp berzerker. Not only are these trucks absolute tanks, they out corner, out jump, and out sexy any other clod period.

Those links are steel, which while not as flashy as titanium, are usually stronger depending on the grade, and are definitely more durable than your average hollow aluminum clod link.

As far as price is concerned, what other kit provides two quality steering kits, and a full cantilever setup riding on ball bearings?

I believe everyone has been responded to. If not, please send me another email. I've been getting a lot of mail lately for the Berzerker run.

Ah yeah, the 2009 worlds freestyle. My poor motors were so worn out I had no power. Freestyle would have been more crazy if I would have rebuilt them! LOL Fun times regardless!

Our chassis kits are pretty durable. We freestyle them hard and almost always finish without any major failure to our parts. The fact that these trucks have ridiculously heavy axles and tires and the power we run through them you would think they would explode on landing. But they can take a pretty good beating. That being said, I wouldn't want to just constantly bash one of our trucks. They aren't meant to be crash dummies, they were designed to win the nrctpa! ;)

I'm still working out all the details on the 2012 Berzerker. I'll be sending out the pre order details this month.

Thanks!

Jasper, please send me an email and I will get you the details. I do not have any pictures yet of the new setup. thank you!

Ben,

Thanks for the explanation of the LiPo mod.

Any pic's of the newer setup and a quote on the mod shipped to The Netherlands?

Thanks

Jasper

Can't wait to get one. I am still kicking around the idea buying two when Ben opens payments for the order. Nothing else like it and hard to get makes me tempted to get two while I can.

You gotta remember though,ESP designed those ladder chassis long before brushless power.Since coming back into this hobby i've been just floored at what you guys do with these trucks as far as speed!Back in 2000 i'd never dream of seeing a Clod run at the speeds you guys run them at now.Heck...i used to bend ESP stuff back then with just 17 turn motors,a super rooster and 7 cells.Spent many a day tweaking extruded c channel back into position...or rather attempting to straighten.

I'd love to have one of these chassis you guys are talking about, sounds almost bulletproof!:cool

Hey all, I'm still working with machinists and oem dealers (AE, Traxxas ,etc) for all of the pieces this kit needs, but I am getting closer. I want to make sure everything is ready for production before I start taking any orders.

Thanks for all the interest in this chassis!!! I'll have some new details soon.

Thank you again!

update

I am still working with machinists and getting deals finalized. It's taking a lot longer than I though it would this time around. Once the deals are locked in I will be opening orders and will have a new release date. Rest assured, 2012 Berzerkers and lipo conversions are on their way!

Thank you all!

pre orders starting in May

I'll be opening pre orders after we get back from Spring Nationals. Pre orders will be a fundraiser to help with the cost of all the new parts. I still do not have an exact schedule for release but once the pre orders start I think it would be about 60 days. So it's looking like a late july release. I'm really sorry it has taken so long but at least we'll have new kits for the 25th anniversary of the clod! ;)
