Ah yes thats what makes a build interesting, sometimes! haha
Really like that frame, makes me wish I was more into crawling, I went through that stage with my clod years ago and it was just to slow for me, I like em fast and flying :tmb

Ok, I lied. Did you really think I was done? :tong

There is nothing wrong with the TTR 23mm adaptors, I just needed a little more offset (3/4" a side!). The Moabs would hit the links with all of the steering it have.

So the build continues. I need to trim the knuckles for more steering, the rear servo is getting remounted, a new front steering servo, alum servo horns, a more secure battery mount, TRX Big Bore shocks, Bic pen barrels over the lower links, "star" the tire foams, dechrome and paint the wheels, paint the body panels (the frame is "blued", and I like it),... :willy

Did you make/have made the 23mm adapters? They looks sweet!

You're gonna dechrome the wheels? I think the chrome wheels would look neat with those aluminum axles...

Yup, I had the wheel adaptors made, and thanks, they turned out real nice!

Ok, I'll see how the wheels look before I think about dechroming and painting them black. I might even polish those adaptors. The axle tubes are clear coated, they would take more work to polish.

Oh, on a side note, this thing will crawl up the stairs in my house. :shk Did you try that with your Spider?

i cant see how those wheels adapters work.
it looks like theres no place for the rim to seat on the hub.
what am i missing?
do the little bolts hold the wheel?
:bang

that large flat washer on the front with the fake bolts is just that, a large washer with fake nuts on it. it takes up the massive space inside the center of the 23mm wheels and that normal barrel nut holds that washer on which holds the wheel on.
