As an update: the truck as shipped and is scheduled to arrive between september 27th (not likely) and October 3rd (more likely).

I am holding off ordering the swaybar set until I can verify that the slash sways will fit. Also, need more folks to pay up to get the motor and ESC ordered, along with the servo. Figured that if people get paid on Friday there should be more funds coming in then. I'm going to send out a PM tonight or tomorrow in the event those that have said they wanted in have not been checking the thread for updates.

I know it's too late but Rocky did reply back to me today and offered a discount ($150 + shipping). He also thanked me for helping him improve his products. Just wanted to let everyone know that since he could have had bad feeling over the review but didn't.

Someone just sent me a payment and I don't know who it belongs to. Please PM me with the PP name/address so I know who it is! :D

Sorry guys - don't want to hold this review up so if payment is not received by Wednesday, October 3rd at noon EST you're going to have to sit this one out. Also, if enough do not pay there will not be electronics ordered for the truck. Extra money will go towards the parts it needs like pinion gear, sway bars (if they fit), and any miscellaneous items needed. Anything left over will be applied towards shipping.

I thought for sure we'd have another 1 or 2 wanting in.

Do what you have to do John :p
As it stands we have $86 in PP and another $20 on the way in the snail mail. The balance would be $106. Could get the motor and esc combo, then the pinion could be scavenged from my Slash. If some of you guys are wondering why I'm fretting over a pinion - price a 5mm, .8 mod pinion and get back to me.

I can donate a servo for the review but it won't be going with the truck. Same for the pinion. Will have to skip on the sway bars or they can be lent from my Slash, however I'm not real excited about tearing apart my own truck for parts.

Will wait until Wednesday to see who has paid, what the balance is, and decide then.

If we do another review we need to look at the system and set up something different, more concrete in place. If you want in, maybe part of the "yeah I want in" process is to prepay $20. That gets you in the door. If not we should set concrete dates for payment to be in. The issue we will run into without a prepayment is reviews being held up because of not enough funds or what ever the case maybe.

i'm all for a prepay system and concrete final dates...that way, theres no waiting for funds, nor people getting shafted on money and having to pony up more if people backout...

i'd also hate to tear apart my own truck just to get the review one together...i can see if the reviewer put his own electronics in, and doesnt include them with the truck, and that's fine too...but tearing one's own personal stuff down shouldnt have to be done for the sake of the review...

i wouldnt worry about the swaybars, or buying a pinion for it...loaner items from you would be fine (and , imho, you dont need to take the swaybars off your truck for the review)...just run it as is...
