Ill throw in on it. Would it just be a limited number of people again ( i missed out last time), or cheaper to get in (assuming it is the SC truck)?

Good question. We would need $217.xx for the truck with shipping. Round up to $220.

We could go:

11 people @ $20

15 people @ $15

22 people @ $10

Before we can set the price we need posted commitments, I'm in. Also, a deadline needs to be set for the "entrance" cutoff too.

I'm in for it, also just throwing this out there if the vehicle is just a rolling chassis do we want to see if we can throw a esc and motor in with it as long as it doesnt exceed the $20 buy in providing we have enough people that want in? just a thought

At $20 a pop that is $380. That would be enough for the truck and a Tenshock motor + Toro esc from Funshobby, plus a cheapie servo and odds and ends.

This combo has been getting some really good reviews on URC and RC Short Course. I'm running a Tenshock motor in my Slash 4x4 and it is a BEAST!!!

I LOVE racing carpet. Massive traction, your truck doesn't get trashed with mud and dirt, and you're not breathing dusty air all evening.

Hit the truck with a compressor to blow off the carpet fibers and you're good to go! :D

Alright, I'm purposing going with the 18 members listed above, $15 a pop buy in, that gives enough cash for the truck, and if the Traxxas swaybar set will fit a set of swaybars and a 5mm pinion. Bars and pinion will go with the truck, winner gets the truck in roller form with the bars and pinion gear. Winner pays shipping.

Review idea goes like this: Get the truck, visually inspect it, compare parts to genuine Slash parts and determine compatibility, tear down for inspection and grease, install motor, ESC, and receiver and race the truck in stock configuration. Race it for 2-3 weeks, seeing how good I can get the truck to race and also at the same time testing the durability of it over that period. At the end of the review/test, electronics come out, winner is drawn and we find a new test subject.

Thoughts? Questions? Comments? Let's leave this open for discussion until Wednesday, then if no one objects or there is no other plan of action, I'll open a new thread for this truck with payment info. Also, what is the chance that we can pick the truck up at a discount for the review?

You sure you don't want to just make it $20 and get the esc and motor?

Either way I'm in.:)

Also I'm not sure about any discounts after my review. lol

Well, I threw that out there and it was met with no reaction so I figured people were not very receptive to the idea. If people want the truck ARTR with ESC and motor, that would be fine to me! We can go $20 each and cover the whole kit and caboodle.

Also I'm not sure about any discounts after my review. lol
Yeah, that is kind of what I was thinking. ;)
