I need some help guys. My mad force kruiser's engine has takin a dump. Im not sure what happened its been the best running engine ive ever had, it never ran above 230 but the other day it locked up and I found a ton of metal in it. So im looking in to converting it. I was wondering if anyone could give me a list of the parts needed to convert it?

Plus you need to pick up the motor plate kyoma102... I only found one place online that carried them:

Call first for availability (thanks orange)

You will need 2: 6x12x4mm ball bearings
You will need 2: 8x16x5mm ball bearings

I purchased these from Boca Bearing or from ebay for a lot cheaper that the two pack that kyosho sells- actually I bought 10 of each for a whole lot cheaper.

This does not include any of the screws that you need to attach everything and I am not sure what you have from the nitro version that will cross over. It's actually a pretty easy setup. I am assuming that the nitro version has the output hubs ect, maybe the 3speed gear, chain ??? not sure... The one things that messed me up with the set screw for the main gear shaft collar- I think it's a 4mm set screw.

When it's all said and done you are looking between $70-80... I had a guy that regularly parts out mad force's on ebay quote me a complete transmission assembled for $86.50 shipped... Looking back I probably should have gone with him... I saved a little bit of money but it took forever getting the parts from three different places.

Once again I don't know what you have on your current setup that will relive cost but all the parts you can probably find pictures and figure it out. hope this helps!

Ohh here is the link to the exploded view http://kyosho.com/jpn/support/instructionmanual/monster_truck/pdf/No30885_MADFORCE_KRUISER_VE_EX.pdf

Here's the link to the parts list via kyosho http://kyosho.com/jpn/support/instructionmanual/monster_truck/pdf/No30885_MADFORCE_KRUISER_VE_SP.pdf

yeah the trucks are still worth grabbing up, and there are new versions out so there are parts available, though part numbers may or may not be the same.

Thanks William. I wasn't sure if there was an easier way. I'm stuck on the motor mount, but it is still on the new Madforce, so it must be available. I think I might pull the trigger on this. I'm used to Clods and TXT's, this would be a change for me!

well you could also install any other trans, a plate and a axial trans would be easy to do, some aluminum angle and a traxxas trans even wouldn't be to bad

Thanks William. If I went that way, I guess I then need to work out drive shafts and drive cups.
Traxxas revo-maxx shafts and the rcmonster couplings are the way to go. http://www.rc-monster.com/proddetail.php?prod=Revo_drive_shaft_coupler Those shafts are reasonably priced and easily adaptable to jut about any trans or axle ever made.

The rc monster coupling comes in 2 different sizes, here you can see the 8mm input shaft size. The 5mm can be drilled for any other
