Our Custom Clod Trio

Hey guys,

Just wanted to show off the first 3 trucks in my brother and my collection. All three are full tube custom built by us...check'em out!

Some nice looking trucks there! Mind if I ask what rods you used? I'm starting to build up on mine. Well, lemme back up. I just got my work shed area close to finished, and will be starting the learning process on building tubers. :D

I love them. Seeing trucks like these make me want to try building a tuber. Question though, have you had any servo problems by not running a servo saver?

Hey guys, thanks for all the compliments! I'll try to answer some of the questions-

1- My brother and I aren't sure if we're going to take orders...With the amount of time we put into each truck..kind of a labor of love..just not sure what we'd even charge. We LOVE doing it, but it hasto be worth it for us to do it ya know.

2- We experimented with Brass rod and tube...our preference in the end was the brass rod, we chose 5/32, for some structural points we also used 1/8 rod.

3- SO far we've had no trouble by not running a servo saver. Again thats so far:tmb

4- The Nightmare before Christmas is strongly based on the Patrick Chassis...and the Punisher became a mix of a Patrick/Team Scream Avenger Chassis. As for the White Chassis...that's going to be the "Bozo Wagon" based of a 56 Nomad and we really tried to make that one as one of a kind as possible...thanks again guys!

That looks great!!
Is there a site to learn how to build a tuber?
Do you have to make blue prints, wing it, make a jig to hold everything to get it all in the correct positions?
Too many questions... :wish

Great work on the frames... powder coat really makes them look clean and crisp. Your design looks like it's really structurally beefy!
