OT: New phone

I know this is a little off topic, but I recently got myself a new cell phone. After thinking about it for a little while, I took the plunge and picked up an LG EnV2. At the same time, Verizon gave me a free month of Vcast Vpak, which includes unlimited Mobile Web, Basic Vcast Videos and ESPN MVP(which I will probably not use). But the vcast vids are pretty cool. I was sitting at standby, bored out of my mind and I was able to get out the phone and watch mythbusters! On a transport to children's hospital, I was able to let the kid watch looney tunes! This is pretty cool, to say the least.

Not only that, but I downloaded a free video converter and was able to convert any video on my computer to the phone's format and upload it onto the transflash card. I just had to share because I just finished converting and uploading the movie Cars to my PHONE! Now I can watch movies on standby on my phone! I know this is probably old news, but I find this cool as heck and I'm loving it...

I'm cracking up.

Sounds like a great gadget for the right person, me I'm practically still sending smoke signals when it comes to phones. :wnk

I have an LG Voyager from Verizon. The VCAST videos are a great way to escape boredom, but it tends to kill your battery pretty quick.

I use to think that the VCast was a waste, but I find myself using it more and more.

I was considering the Voyager originally. My first two choices were a Voyager and an EnV, but I wasn't thrilled with the Voyager's touch screen. It frustrated me to no end when trying to use one. I really wasn't happy with the EnV, either, but then the EnV2 came out and they had taken care of everything I didn't like about the original and even improved it beyond my expectations. I kinda like how it looks like a calculator when closed with the smaller outside screen and bigger outside buttons...
