I threw out some low bids on eBay expecting to get outbid and to my surprise I won a couple. I got a beat up stock Clod coming it might get here this week. It actually looks decent with a few missing parts and some broken stuff. Here are the pics from the auction. When it get here ill take new pics as i fix it up. I want to keep it basically stock too keep the cost low and because I like bounding around in stock trim. I'm gonna change the motors to some new silver cans cuz it has the ancient ones with the white ends. And I'll put in a real ESC and new radio and bearings. I want to keep the stock body, chassis, wheels and tires. I hope the tires arent rotten.

Heres a pic from the back where you can see the body post is gone on one side and the bed is cracked on the other.

Spidubic - The price was good too. Just when I thot there were no good deals left :) Well the price was good assuming it's in decent shape. The pics make me think it is.

MatoonPlatoon - No radio just what's in the pics. Missing bumpers, rollbar, and blower, broken body posts, and supposedly small cracks whose location wasn't disclosed in the description. I see the body is messed up in front where the bumper would be and the bed is cracked at the body post. I'm definitely gonna be kickin it old school on this one! Except the electronics will only be sorta-old-school ie AM radio and LRP ESC.

- This time I actually mean stock! I'm gonna add 12g deans wire and the stuff I've mentioned above but I'm not changing a lot on this one!

Bill - What kind of Clod did you have? Stock or race mod or what?

ClodMonster - Clods are always good stuff!

Kenny I had built a clone of the "troops truck" I had built a couple years ago. Basicly it's clod axles and a ground pounder chassis. I had it all completed except for the 2 brushless ESC's I needed. But I since sold the axles, and used the (2) 4300kv brushless motors and the servo in other trucks.

Seeing those Duracell double A non-rechargeable batteries in that tray makes me wanna say.. Omg a runaway:) LOL

I just wonder if their will be any fatigue cracks on the chassis tub.

Well in that case, I still can't wait to see the finished product then! and as always, thanks for the advice you have given me for my Bullhead!..Just saving a couple more bucks for a good soldering iron to get it together! Than all I need is a body for it...Mike

Got it today. Chassis and axles are nice and turn freely and i didnt see any cracks. Tires are not rotten at all but two tires have massive flat spots. I don't know if that's from sipping or what. The body is a little dissapointing. Its not trash but its pretty beat up with multiple breaks. I'll take pics tomorrow before I do anything. Then I'll teat it down and and clean it up.

Overall I'm happy. I forgot how big clods are :D

bill if the shape don't go back on it's own I'll stuff some foams in there and that'll fix it for sure.

joe I'm back in big time! I got this project Clod, 2 sweet wheely kings (I just got another fully pimped 4x4 I haven't posted up online yet in addition to the Grave Digger one I got from Bill, and I got a funky Tamiya buggy I'm gonna make rtr for my nephew.

I'll try the Jugg tires on it. I don't know if the stock Clod tires are glued to the white wheels or not I didn't check and I'm at work right now. I think you're right they'll look cool on there.

Bill what type of foams did you send me with those Bajas?

the foams in those are light blue? They'd be losi foams that are close to 20.00 a pair so get 40- series for half the price. I had bought the losi before I knew the 40's from e-bay would work for half the money.

Bill I'll check ebay and see what I can come up with for foams.

Here are a few pics I took before I do any fixing up:
