Nylint Project

I got my Nylint last night! $44 at WalMart. It's louder than I thought it would be lol but it's a fun little truck. I'll be sure to post progress on it here. I plan on doing some mods to the gear boxes, upgrading to hobby elecs and building a chassis. I've seen people do some cool stuff with them despite being toys. :D I'd still like a TLT but this will be a cost effective project until then.

You may want to mute it. ;)

i gotta be honest on the only cool things i saw people doing to it was taking the body and wheels and tires off and then pretty much scrapping the rest of it. i haven't seen one person actually keept the stock chassis and axels then do mods to it.

Yes it's 1/18

Breaker 1-9, take a a loook at rccrawler.com. People are doing much more than that to their Nylints. ;)

For example:

There's plenty of Nylint activity over at those boards but I wanted to keep mine RCMT. I'd like to get a set of those RCMT decals willg had made for the jeep body when it's painted.

Why a Nylint? It's a cheap set of axles that crawl pretty well out of the box. Biggest drawback...the axles are huge. It's a good project truck. I like the challenge of making something not so great, at least a little better. :)

Will do WillG.

I did some painting today. :D

(forgot to shoot a pic of the dash and wheel)

If anyone knows where I can get some JEEP decals please let me know. :)

oh wow, never seen those before. i really looked at the axels as being something to tos out as it's big and bulky but yeah those look pretty nice as far as being moded Wally World machines. i'm not a huge fan of crawling or at least not yet so that's probably why that one slipped by me.

Ok last weekends paint job was rushed. I bought some paint this week and here's what I have so far today. (I'll also be repainting the body)

I need to fill the cracks in the backs of the seats.
