NR/CTPA Worlds

I know that the NR/CTPA Spring Fundraiser just ended, but it is now time to start planning for the next event.

How many are planning on attending the NR/CTPA Worlds to be held September 28-29-30?

I will be there with the hobby shop . . . if you would like me to bring something that I missed for the Springs, just let me know.

Well I plan on being there. I will be looking forward to it. I will also be looking forward to seeing a full crowd again. It would have been nice to see the prp group, The Powers family, The Wyatts, Bari and Dougie. I think I got everyone.

Its too bad that you cant be there. But plans change who knows maybe it will work out. I have to compliment you I can see you bring alot of enthusiam to the event. You have some kick gas trucks too. I was drooling over those crawlers. Youre a good driver and I bet we will see you on the top of the podium out in Montipiler.

Means a lot coming from a very good driver like yourself. I try my best, somedays the trucks run good some days they dont. I had a lot of truck disasters between my motors dieing, loosing a servo and some other issues, but I kepy my head up high and made the best of it. I go with the intentions to have a good time and hang out with my friends, shoot the shiat, have a few good laughs and cruise some other RCs after hours :tmb Im glad you like the crawlers, maybe *someday* the NRCTPA will have a small crawling gig, I know there are some people I talked with this past weekend that were interested, I think it just comes down to time, but hey ya never know


I am bummed about not being able to go but maybe if something changed we could make it. Right now I am looking forward to the diggers dungeon race this weekend with Doug, Bari, the Wyatts and Powers family

Just curious....Why does the dates keep changing for these events?

The dates don't keep changing, this is the first time in several years they changed.
The May date changed becuse John Kidman the hotel owner's daughter got married on the weekend of the orgional May date. Who's first you kid or some club with a pulling event, that's an easy ansewer.
I don't remember the reasons for the September / October change.
Will both events go back to the old dates next year I guess that will be up to the newAssociation President & hotel.

Freestyle is sunday afternoon. It is after all the racing amd pulling is over.

I don't remember the reasons for the September / October change.

Don't quote me on this, but I heard this is the reason. I heard the World's was moved was b/c of the iHobby. The iHobby is October 18-19-20-21, 2007. I heard some were worried that with the World's being the first weekend in October and iHobby 2 weeks later that was too much in too little time. I don't know if any of this is true, as I am not a director or an officer in the NR/CTPA, but that is just what I had heard and it makes sence.

Maybe someone can correct me if I am wrong.

Racing and pulling events take place most of the morning and all afternoon on Saturday. There is one final round of racing and some pulling on Sunday. Sunday also has freestyle on the racing side. If you plan on making a day of it, come on Saturday. Sat is the day everything is going on. Sunday.....everything is winding down and if you get there a little late, you'll miss about everything. Don't plan around freestyle. It is an ok event but don't come to just see it, you'll miss more than you get to see if that's all you come for.
