North East Ohio Tuff Truck Pullers first pull

Hello Everyone,

We have seen most of you at the first two pulls of the year. We are the Non/profit club that just started in Canton Ohio and are looking to put on our first pull/ monster truck race on June 25, 2011 and are looking for some feedback to see if this is a good date for a great turnout.

This would be the TUG FOR JUDE to Support St. Jude's children's hospital.

You can visit the website www.rctufftruckpullers.com

Laura and I are planning on being there to help out with the event. Racers this would be a great chance to get out a race over the summer. In the early stages of this event it is going to be important for us as competitors to jump in for this great cause. The more of us that can commit to the event the more planning these guys can do for the event. I hope that you all will consider this event for both pulling and racing.

Is this an indoor or outdoor event? What surface type will the racing be done on? What classes for racing will there be?

Location and answers

The pull will be held at the Richfield Grange in Canton Ohio.

It will be an indoor event. The racing will take place on carpet.

The web site is currently getting a huge overhaul and will be back up within 36 hours. Sorry for the delay on that one.

As for the racing classes we are going to try to follow the NR/CTPA winter nationals classes for both the racing and the pulling. The only class we will not be able to run is the carpet Big Rig as we do not have one of the super duty sleds.

We are hoping for a great turnout for our first pull and keep in touch and we will release the early entry forms very soon and they will be available on the website as soon as we do.

Thanks

I am very interested. How big will the racing surface be? How will times be kept? Timing system, stop watches etc...?

answers to questions

The site is back up and running. We are working on getting the names of people who have timing systems to get one of those in. The hall is 2 floors and we are looking at putting the monster trucks upstairs and the pullers downstairs. The racing surface is 30 X 50.

Also, we are trying to get a rough truck count both for pulling and racing. This could be from teams, clubs or individuals.

We are also working on a pulling track for Nitro/Gas outside. Will keep you guys posted.
