We have been working with two guys via email on this for the last few days. So we made this CAD.

Another option is make a tire that looks similar like this below:

We haven't decide which one we will make or we can just make both.

The material is going to be challenge, but we will see what we can do.

Once the CAD is finalized, we can have a prototype within 2-3 weeks. Our goal is start shipping late Feb or early March.

Please let us know what you think...

The cad tireds, are more like real pulling tires. The other are good cut's on them. The truck chassis is not good for pulling. You like to keep it on stock or close to stock. It just works better.

Hello there. The hard core pullers would probably go for the cad drawing version more and you may even get a few racers to pick up a set depending on weight of the tire. However I think a stock Clod sized set of the ones on the front and back of the Bigfoot truck would peak interest with racers. I know I would consider picking up a set for my each of my trucks. Just my 2 cents. Need a tester?

The CAD drawings look good, maybe add a couple of lugs though.
The tires on the trucks are just cut clod / USA1 tires. I can make those myself. (actually, I would never shave back the thread that much, the lugs would just fold backwards under stress)

I like the cad ones but I am guessing only people who have strictly pulling truck and tractors would use them.

I do have a set of imex 2.2 road dawg tires which I think would be better to reproduce. I think more people would be interested in them due to the fact you can use them on there pullers and put them on the rock crawlers, high lifts and wheely kings. Let me know if you would want to use them.

I cannot imagine how much rubber bits were piled up everywhere when the owner of that Bigfoot truck cut the "Bigfoot style" front tires! UGH!

txt and clod rims use the same size tires.

im a big fan of the CAD tires as i think even on a racer they would run well.

At the lug angle shown on the CAD tires run them forward on dirt and flip the around for high surface area on carpet

If you do the cad tires make some standard clod width for the racers. Then for the puller guys make them 3 inchs wide to look more like the full size 30 inch wide pulling tires. Right now on my pro stock tractor I have a set of clod tires that I narrowed down to 3 inchs. Just a thought you might want to consider.

Hua first of all in my opinion for racing,The tire needs to be light. For example the Imex pull tire in its stock form is quite a bit lighter than the stock clod. They are pretty plyable too. Now I know you can shave a clod tire and do this and that with it but that all takes time. Designing a pulling tire like you have (maybe a few more lugs like Micropuller said) in that cad drawing might work on the racing end. Maybe the pullers could have a harder compound and the racers something softer. Just a thought. I know everyone could sit here and say they want this tire and that is the best to do .... then you get fifty opinions and next thing you know you are frustrated and give up! Hopefully something could be designed that would work on a few different levels. I would like something similiar to the imex pull tire in weight, size and compound of that tire. But something more scale looking. I will send you an email we need to get in touch on the phone. Talk to yo later...Eric

The CAD rendering looks great.
All that is left is to figure out the compound(s) to use.
Probably a good idea is to make it in 2 compounds (one for pulling and one for racing).

the CAD version is a better looking design, but I also agree that you need to add a couple more lugs to it. Also as stated above, 2 different compunds would be best for racing(soft) and pulling(hard). im sure if you put these into production, there will be alot of sets sold especially via the NRCTPA.

The only thing Is you have to be careful on how soft you make the racing tire. Some batches of the imex puller tires are so soft they will just fold over when you turn. I think another great marketing option for Rc4wd would be clod sized foams that are very soft. Foams would be great for racing and pulling alike but current ones on the market are just too stiff. If a foam was incorperated There wouldnt be a problem with a super soft tire.
