how do the Rumbles compare Compound wise to the Clod/TXT-1 tyres?

I have a spare set of TXT-1 rims I have stashed away for a rainy day that I'm debating putting Rumbles on...

and also found that the kit springs/shockies are too soft in the rear and after a run my Agrios likes to sit lower in the rear...

put my TXT-1's wheels and tyres on my Agrios and the problem was made WORSE...

The Rumbles are made for racing, they have foams in them and the tires themselves are a lot stiffer than the stock Clod tires.

awesome, I'll keep them in mind as the tyres on my TXT-1 tyres rarely get to see dirt lately and sometimes are a bit TOO soft

and I do like how the rumbles do look like a modern Monster truck tyre...

Well....it's all done for the most part, we all know these darn things are just never "done" though.

Body posts trimmed, decals installed (including the killer RCMT.net decal) :D

Now to work on my picture taking skills to submit for ROTM next month.....:cool

I would have liked a few more of the decals that BF19 uses, but I'm happy that I finally got these atleast.

those stickers really make it look great, think I might have found a temporary fix for the springs, I put all the preload spacers I had on the shockies, if it gets too bad I'll either get nice Progressive rate springs, or get some TXT-1 springs and use on it (one set, two will be too hard)

I've been so busy working on my 1:1 lately that I haven't had time for my hobbies. This is the only darn thing I've been able to akomplish....panted the lug nuts on the wheels with a black Gundam marker. :D

Yeah or even the Clark one's CPE has. He was out of them when I was doing the build, may have to pick up a set at some point.

Finally had a little time to work on my TXT a little bit. I removed the Hitec servo I was using for steering, I could'nt get it setup ith a servo saver before. The servo was either hitting the top suspension links or the servo saver was hitting the steering tie rod. The solution was a Savox 1251mg low profile servo. Now I have my Kimbrough servo saver on there and nothing is hitting anywhere. ;)

The little servo actually has plenty of power for steering, I may still add a Castle external BEC (which is programable) so I can set the voltage to 6v which will bring the servo to life even better.

nice
great little servo, I have one myself. Not the strongest, but for it's size kicks but on 6.2 volts (set w/ castle bec)

Great looking truck. I was really thrown off at first by the axle shots as it looks like the pumpkin should point outwards, but they point down in this case. I didn't like these trucks when I first saw them, the stock wheels and tires just wont do, but with the clods they look the part. I also thought the chassis was all one piece plastic and thought it looked like a new bright toy. Taking off the anodizing was the right thing to do. This thread made me see this truck in a new light. Who know, maybe a future build. Right now I am commited to my Ground Pounder build, which will be my first monster truck build. I have a slew of cars, and my main focus is scale above all else.

I do have a question. What did you use to strip the anodizing off the aluminum? I am going to be painting my ground pounder side frames green, and not sure how to prep. I have self etching primer, but do I sand or just clean the anodized coating?
