BTA/IFA servo mounts really clean up the front and rear and stop the truck from getting caught up on everything!...

I'm also using the TEU-106BK ESC, and didn't bother using the chromed brass tailshafts, went to traxxas 4951x (non Brushless Emaxx ones) items...

awesome work on your Agrios, the ditching of the anodized stuff is unique...

I'm running stock motors and a Tamiya ESC so probably going to stick with stock shafts for now and upgrade later, not 100% sure yet, just wanted to get this together.

The one issue I am having with the servo mount, is my servo is hitting the upper link when the suspension is about 80$ compressed. I have my servo mounted on the top side of the bracket or else my servo saver was hitting the long steering link. I may have to move the servo under the mount and do not use a saver or pick up a low profile servo so everything will clear.
On your suspension arms swap to some ''traxxas revo long'' rod ends and use through hardware. Then you can use a conical washer and spacers if needed to clearance the servo

HDMM what is the fluid you used in the bucket to strip the paint off the links?

I need to strip the red paint off a set of Traxxas shock springs the stock shocks that CPE stock.

I used Grease Lightning to strip the anodize. I don't think that will work for paint removal though, you may want to try and soke them in oven cleaner, or get some paint stripper.

Good idea, I was thinking about going that route to get rid of the horrible Tamiya ball ends. I've used Traxxas links on a few builds, can't beat them for price, availability, adjustment and durable.

No joy so far paint stripper did not even touch the red paint nor graffiti remover (gel). Paint seems to be baked on extra strong stuff for springs.

Will try oven cleaner next!

I've finally had a chance to get the electronics installed in the truck, was able to test run it outside as well. The test run went well, certainly not a speed demon, but it looks like it's going to be a fun truck!

I ended up mounting the Hitec HS-5645MG servo on the bottom side of the servo mounting plate to gain the needed clearance between the servo and the upper links. I had to use a aluminum servo horn because there isn't enough room for a saver now. I think I'm going to pick up a Savox SC-1251MG low profile metal gear servo, I will be able to mount it the way I want and use the kimbrough servo saver with it. The Savox is rated at 125oz @ 6v, it's a little less torque than I want, but I think it will work ok.

Decided to do a Bigfoot 19 theme with the stock Agrios body, I know it's been done before, but I think it's cool. :cool

Still waiting on my Bigfoot / Speed Energy decals for it though. :conf

I also picked up another Pro-Line F250 body which I'm going to paint up and use on the truck as well. I was thinking that I might paint that one up red and black and use the Agrios decals on it, so it's something a little different.

My orange came out a little funky, I backed it with the silver when I painted the roll cage in the back, oh well...live and learn...LoL. I did the roll bar in the back and the rest clear. I'll do a final trim once it's completely dry.

Finally had a little time to get the body drilled out and trimmed. I don't know if anybody here uses these, but I love using the little body foam disks from Dan's RC. They protect the paint on the underside of the body, create a little cushion and stop the body from rattling around.

Still gotta trim the body mount posts and still waiting for my Bigfoot 19 decals. Starting to loose patience on the decals, I ordered them on the March 15 and still don't have them. :rolleyes

Thanks, I had a few snafus with the paint, but all in all it came out ok. Once I get the decals and get it all done, I'll get some better pics outside. :D

I wouldn't mind getting a re-re Bruiser myself at some point. I had a original Bruiser awhile back, wish I didn't have to sell it.

was looking at a Re-re Bruiser when I got my Agrios.... but the Bruiser was about Waaay out of my price range.... seen re-re bruisers on Ebay go for $1200 AUD just for the kit, all up mine owes me about 650 Pounds... running

and I do have a Knight Hauler triple Road Train (3x shell trailers) so I do have a Tamiya 3 speed...

now to get the Agrios home...

just spent 7 weeks in England, and heading back to Australia tomorrow... aand loved my new toy to much to leave it here... hehe

okay the Agrios made it home safely... first thing I did was swap the rims and tyres from my TXT-1 over....okay functionally the kit rims and tyres are better, but on a paved surface the Agrios was almost impossible to get on it's roof, during the run I out it through it only got up on two wheels once - unlike the TXT-1 which LOVES to roll over... no cants has it's advantages...

I can also safely say that the Agrios body does indeed fit a TXT-1... and I thought the wheelarches would foul the tyres, but no, the sell fits perfectly and only with the zipties on the swaybars down, the body only *JUST* hit the body...

My Savox low profile servo came in this week so I will be swpping the Hitec out for the Savox so I can get the steering setup with a proper Kimbrough servo saver. :D
