cons compared to a 2.2 shaft driven rig are

1. clod stall (when two motors are wired in parallel when one motor stalls and all the current is shifted to the other motor)
2. Weight
3. size
4. if you want to go brushless you need two sensorless systems

now if you buy a stock clod here are things you will need
1 ESC
2 bearings
3 Strong servo
4 radio
5 battery (probably already have)
6 charger (same as batteries)

most common upgrades are
1 4 link
2 chassis
3 oil shocks
4 lexan body
5 one servo per axle for steering
and so on

really all you need are the axles unless you want other stock parts or a stock truck.

could someone show me some pics on how the 4 links mount to the axle.
Sure thing bud, check out this thread:

This thread is what inspired me to convert my stock chassis Clod to a 4-link.

A couple of other parts to consider when modding a clod are inner or outer axel stiffners (or both) (my preference is the CPE ones), oil filled shocks (e/t-maxx ones work well (especially big bore models) and if using a stock chassis you should really upgrade to an ESP chassis brace..cheap but effective.

Hope this helps,
