So was at local hobby shop. Bought my 400$ in parts n seen txt-2 on shelf they built 4-5 years ago and never ran... asked what want for it 250 Canadian soo like 200$ us. I ordered txt-1 wheels of eBay cause stock ones first thing to go and ugly green body they painted and a high torque water proof servo. Also ordered revo driveshafts. I'd like to get rear lock out and steering kit from extreme I was looking in car action they put single brushless and cover on other motor port... Crawford make custom covers? Also is there chassis options? I have a cf txt1 chassis could I swap em over? Other then the metal axles don't know if Rc4wd will bring back in stock

That is a great buy :) sadly virtually no custom chassis to pick from Defiance racing and Jamie Grund made custom chassis for TXT format in recent times so maybe contact them.

Your best bet is to transfer TXT-2 parts into CF chassis plates that you have will be a direct fit no modifications needed.

Due to lack of options I went mental and installed TXT-2 gearbox and axles into ZRP Retro Racer chassis plates (designed for Clod!) I used Xtreme servo mounts front and rear and Hesse axle mounting blocks. Pictures below. Full build thread on Clodtalk and Tamiyaclub.

You would have to be insane to do what I did though. Good luck with your build :)

Rest assured the gearbox and axles are identical per TXT-1 TXT-2 it will be a straight easy swap :)

If you use a aftermarket steering and lock out the bumpers can't be put back on?

You have two choices you can cut the stock grey plastic mounting blocks off the stock servo mounts and then mount the blocks on top of the Xtreme servo mounts or;

Order some TXT mounting blocks off Mike Hesse and mount those on top of Xtreme servo mounts.
