New Tamiya Radio

Smart move by them. I have wanted to buy another rig with a MFU for the longest time now but the old Futaba system with springs on both sticks and analog trims is getting harder and harder to find and that's not even taking into consideration the fact it's not 2.4.

Now if only they could make it so the multifunction units of all kinds worked with digital trims :cool

Nice. Since it's a Futaba, I should be able to modify them like we do Futabas and Spektrums to fire the main gun and machine gun with separate momentary switches for their 1/16 tanks. I admit that I want it only because I want a Tamiya radio to go with my tank. All Tamiya errthang:cool.

I already have this radio through the Futaba branding.

I had a bit of a rigmoral as I got one of the very first batches and the receiver was known to be faulty but Futaba Japan replaced it no questions asked
sent it EMS and included 5 sets of stickers. :cool

I run this in my Tamiya Leopard 2a6, I have also ran it in my Tamiya MAN TGX540. It is made to work with the DMD and Multi Function Units.

I get no glitching and far more range (I haven't actually 'tested' how far, but easy well over 150 ft (yards) and that is plenty for a tractor truck.

I am replacing my Futaba 4VWD 27AM sets with two more of these for my trucks now, getting more range and rid of unsightly antennas!

Strongly recommended! :D
