now cut those front and rear braces so you can have some suspension travel ;)

just put a crossmember in the shock mounts to re enforce
Yeah, I've looked but won't do any actual cutting till I have it all together, or at a point I can't proceed unless I do break out the cutting wheel.

Are the chassis powder coated or painted?

Talk about a short turn around to get these to you guy's:cool Wonder if the wife would notice $200 missing from the tax returns:eek:

powder coated, Frank asked what color and I debated red, or black or silver/chrome.
It's thick enough you will need to open some holes for your 3mm screws to fit in, so far most are closed up from powdercoat just a bit much for a screw to pass through

Must be nice to have something to mess with... I already have the axles and emaxx tranny ready for mine... just waiting on the chassis and my 2200kv Castle Mamba Monster :)

My Jugg chassis is in the works and I'm gonna put clod axles under it. I want to but a link set from CPE and there are 12 and 14 inch wheelbase versions. I want my set up to be like TXT 2.0s recent build. What length links should I get so the shocks are vertical like his and many of yours?

Hey thanks Tom! I'm so excited to get it, Frank said he could do it like the older style too which is what I really like. Are those measurements eye-eye or the link tube?

Black is nice, and you can touch it up with a q-tip and a bottle of paint.

Welcome to the tuber group ha ha ha :emot178:

Thanks Bill, my wallet is sad but I am happy. Any chance you know what would be a good link length to get?

Just had to update with a pic! Frank at New Era was awesome to work with and even did my chassis a little more like the ones from a few years ago! Great service!

I know! Love that older style! I am planning on clod axles, mainly for the parts support and availability. It is a lot lighter than I expected, but still feels solid.

do not buy the 12 or 14" link kit. they are much too short. the 16" link kit from CPE is more appropriate and fits where the axles should be.

ill measure my links tonight and take some photos of how mine looks for you to gauge how long you really need.

oh and BTW im using the clod version(in red) with clod axles.
