My order went in today 
I ordered w/ Frank on the phone. He told me I was #2 on Thursday night. I ordered black. He seemed excited that the interest in the chassis is re-sparkedNow im curious how many orders he has lol. Im just glad that they are willing to give us a good discount and actually remake this chassis. New Era is now high up on my list of great places to deal with

I'm glad to hear he is still passionate about things!
I love scaler trucks, but everytime I watch a scaler trail video I think to myself how much more I'd rather see a clod pounding down that same trail. I hope monsters make a comback!
I'm also intersted to see what new era clod chassis shows up! I think my JPS axles are going under this one.

Your Max D has a set of EQR wheels on it, ha ha look those up too.
A EQR wheel solves a few issues, 12mm hex, allows more room for steering linkage, and can be done in 2 different offsets to make the truck narrow or 1" wider

We are all here to share ideas and learn. Almost anything around here has been tried or thought about, and if possible reconfigured or perfected and your seeing what has sometimes taken months or years to get where it is today. Things used to happen quicker, and more often but the pokey crawler scene has taken many great minds away from monsters and into that s l o w zone.
