Need some help from the computer guys

Right now I have a laptop connected to another LCD monitor. I used both the external and the laptop monitors together. But the external monitor was from another computer that I used and I was just messing around to see if it works. So now I am wondering, if there is some type of device which allows me to connect two computers to (laptop and desktop) and the output is the LCD monitor. So I can change the monitor output with say something like a switch. Is there anything that exist like this?
