Need some evx help

Hello all, just picked up my first complete clod in a trade and it's got the old noxak/trx evx. I've been reading around and some people have run lipos (I know I'll need a lvd cutoff) and I've seen that there's a jumper people were using to just run a single battery. From what I see is it just a plug with a single wire looped? I don't plan on this being the long term esc but I do want to putt around the yard with it for right now.

Yes you can just jumper one of the connectors. You just need to jumper the right one as one connector has the BEC side on it. So if you jumper one and plug in the battery to the other and nothing just swap the jumper to the other connector and you should be up an running.

**NOTE**
The jumper must be used on the non-BEC side of the ESC. If the ESC's lights come on, then it is hooked up correctly.
If not then switch the jumper to the other plug on the ESC. See the diagram and link I posted below for more info.

The EVX is rated to safely handle 16.8volts.
