I have a older emaxx brushed motors, bought 2 2s lipo batteries and tried in it. It will run if you gradually give it throttle, but if if try to floor it it will just quit any help will be great Thanks
I have seen this happen with my cousin's newer ESC (blue 16.8V); it ended up being the ESC. We thought the motor was the problem until the truck finally stopped running all together, hooked a battery directly to the motor and it takes right off....
You could try this as well to eliminate the motors as the problem.
Do you have another ESC to try? or a y-harness to connect both LiPo batteries to so you can hook it to the motor? If they spin on the initial hit of the LiPo's I think your ESC is going as opposed to having a black spot on a commutator.
I had that problem when the capacitor went on my Novak GTX ESCs. The truck would move forward for a fraction of a second and that was it. If you eased onto the throttle it would run fine all the way up to full speed. Replaced the capacitor and it worked fine. I don't know where it may be on the older 14.4.
I havnt put a meter on them but they will run seperatly in my rustler. I think from what I have researched the esc is going into some kind of overload because of the 14.8v instead of 14.4v. Im gonna try to program the esc and check what you all have suggested. I really appriciate all the feedback anymore will be appreciated as well Thanks Brian
