I need some cash to get some steel RC4wd gears for a WK trans so I want to sell my spare set made with rear wheels for a narrowed look.

33.00 shipped for a set of 4 wheels no tires with clean beads (see pictures)

perfect for guys with redcat ground pounders who want to keep it narrow, or a WK guy who wants a more narrow track.

I have not tried stretching actual tamiya tires, but both RC4WWD and Imex tires easily stretch to the larger 3'' bead. It's not a big jump 2.6 stock to 3''

PM me if interested please

Well I was playing around and I have a whole new custom clod wheel design.

Here goes...

Traxxas monster jam wheel and half a clod wheel glued on.
This works out to 1/16th narrower than a stock white clod wheel.

Gives you the 12mm hex, plus a choice of 2 offsets while leaving plenty of room to clear knuckles and steering parts. RC4WD's tires fit well. Don't know about stock clod tires, they don't stretch as easy as the imex or RC4WD but you can always cut in the bead line to make them work if you can't stretch them yourself.

Totaly psyched up, this will be perfect for my pede 4x4 and my 2wd pede Max D. Not to mention will do very well on a WK or a GP without making them very wide which some people don't like.

By using these my WK went from 15'' down to 14'' wide outside tire edge to outside tire edge. (overall width)

This image shows it ends up just a hair narrower wheel width

It is pushed right up flush to the "bulkhead" section of the wheel. You can make the wheel narrower, but not the back spacing. Why would you want the rim narrower, it's about a 1/16th narrower than a stock clod wheel like this? See the pic above.

Mounted up this comes in very narrow track width on a WK, a full inch narrower than my older 2.2 conversions. Any narrower I'd have to move my lower shock mounting locations.

Then if you want wider, just use the other traxxas MJ wheel.

I load a thick bead of glue in the traxxas wheel, then slip together and weight it overnight for a strong bond. Then wipe off the glue that oozed out before drying.
no, not worried at all. Look at all the short course race trucks that use 2 different bead sizes.

yes the rumble stayed flat all the way across the tread. The rumble needed very little effort to fit the larger bead. Actually it seats better :willy The rim spun true on my drill, no tire on it.

You can't mess up the inside (black) wheel side since you don't mess with that section as it's the traxxas wheel itself.
No tire mods at all. There is a thin ring on the upper traxxas bead I removed after the rim pictures were taken.

Actually, "householf goop" in a purple tube from home depot or walmart. I haven't seen the "shoogoo" brand here in a while.
Rears are looking good right now to make a much narrower (full 1") truck. Fronts I have not measured yet, looks to be more around the 3/8'' narrower area.

getting back to this, these wheels really do a nice job, my Max D clod-o-pede is looking SWEET with them.

Try it, not hard to do at all. :wnk
