shew i didnt know larry was still around back in the day he would set up a both at the nat farm machinery show in louisville ky as a kid i would stand for hours looking at his stuff. does he pull any rc stuff?
Hi Guys, I want to Thank all of you for your input so far. This little truck has always interested me. It didn't belong to the guy that had it, He picked it up from somebody else, he never gave a name though. Maybe somebody would want it back.

This is how Im getting my 6yr old son into pulling. We pull New Bright trucks which are bigger, single gear version of stomper using a schamper pulling sled. I got a cousin Im trying to get involve with us on it to.
Fiugre from there move him up to 1/16th scale style like the truck u guys are talking about here, starting with electricl then into gas and ending up with startin to build a couple of r own r/c pullers. Of coruse I have found couple videos on you tube of some guys doing slot car tractor pulling which looks pretty awesome too.
I do have to say stomper and new bright trucks are nice cause u can pull them about any where cause of their size. We pull on r pergo floor in are living room and planning on making small dirt track in backyard next year by his play hosue.

Yeah, hasnt cost to much so far. Find New bright truck at dollar general for about $4 a pcs, we got 3 a pcs we have been playing with. Most exspenive thing was the schamper sled, that costme $40 on ebay. Then we been using pennys out of his piggy bank for are wieghts. Need to get my hands on Postal scale to find out exactly what we got them pulling, beside actually make a little better slide.
We have had enough wieght on it, about 3ft across the floor the box stop half way up cause the wheels bind up and start dragging across the floor.

They starting pulling those micro mini pullers in the town I grew up in, in about mid 70's. They didn't really have a throttle so much as a single needle on the carb. They fired them up and tuned till it was at max rpm then set it down and let it pull. They made tires out of melted down fishing worms from what I remember. I wanted one real bad, but just old enough at the time.

Robert Jesse has hooked up with a group of guys that pull stuff similar to the old micro mini's only electric. Next time you are back in sturgeon look him up see when they are gonna pull at his house next and check it out.

Yea, when my Dad passed away in Feb. he came by Uncle John's house and he showed me some pics and told me all about it. Sounds kinda cool.

Yes, the rubber fake ones! LOL! I was a kid so I don't know exactly how they did it, but they pulled on a plywood track that had a finish on it and those tires just stuck like glue. Its been a good thirty years ago, I wish I could remember more.

those little new bright trucks make good little pullers. me and my two sons pull them also. i made a custom all aluminum pulling sled for them. would like to start a pulling club.

From what I was told you would make a mold around your wheel and pour the melted worms in.

copperhead, where u locate at? My brother in law is going out in a coule of weeks to get him and his 2 boys some new brigh trucks to pull w/ me and my son.
Starting to get cold here in nothern indiana so we well be pulling the trucks and sleds out soon.

that is awesome would you be interested in selling any of your stompers,or could you post some pics. i had the competition pull set as a kid and had a lot of fun with them. dave
