Okay guys...
bringing this back up to the top...
First off...to answer some questions...this is not my creation..lol!!! I WISH!!!!
This is ALL CREDIT TO Mike (Devastator) from Team Defiance and I am racing one of his custom made TXT-1 and representing his custom creation in the RCMTC-HI chapter...and trying to do a good job:tmb:tmb.
As far as getting the chassis or any other questions, please contact Mike from Team Defiance and he will be more than happy answer questions regarding the TXT kits...
Now back to the TXT-1..
I got this back last year and raced her toward the ending part of the season. Since getting the kit, I raced her twice before racing the World's Final. I was still working out the bugs and in constant contact with Mike regarding questions on motor selection and suspension. With his help I was able to get a bit more toward my driving style. Raced her twice then was busy with personal stuff that took me away from racing then appeared back at World's Final where I made it to a couple of final heats and being eliminated..
Now that I am back...I worked on her suspension and again, with Mike's help, got the suspension to where I wanted her. Geared her a little higher and she was just on it for our season opener on Sunday. This TXT went up and up against other TXT's and of course clods in the OPEN class and trust me...it was not easy wins at all.
I went up and up with old school racers that I raced with back in 2004 and they have their game set. Along with my other fellow racers who have stepped it up BIGTIME in their clods and they give me a run for my money. Even going up against a fully Mod BEZERKER chassis..
I changed out the stock tires and ran with the B&H (I think) tires for better acceleration and one thing about this TXT is that she can turn. The turning radius on this kit is unreal that I dialed down the dual rate to about 70%. But because of the power of the BL system, she pushes bigtime. Adding weights in the front could help out, but I want to keep her as light as possible, so it all came down to throttle control and that is what I had to do.
So here is an update from the first time I brought her out. Rocking the White Ford F650 HotWheels (thanks Jon) and new shoes..My OUTLAW Team Defiance TXT 1...
