My Stocker Does Wheelies!

Check it out! What a difference a good charger makes. My STOCK Clod will do wheelies now! I didn't know a stock ride could stand up and drag the tailgate! I've never heard anyone talk about it before...

 nice vids....

I need to get me some better batts then - with my stocker(similar to yours in that it uses oil shocks and modern electrics but not much else that isnt stock) it will lift the front wheels a little on a full charge but not wheelie continuously like that...

well either that or your springs are too soft... :roll

rx78gp02 - the backwards wheelies are fun! So are the forward wheelies too!

spoon - too soft? Or too hard? This battery pack is like new. Maybe 2 months old. It's an SMC 6 cell 4200 with Intellect cells. It is not matched. It was $38 at Tower Hobbies. It will wheelie on and on but I had to let off in the video so I didn't hit the bush or run off the yard :ack

well mine uses stock maxx shocks with red springs, they are a bit too hard for the stock clod really, but it kinda bounces around like the stockers so its still fun...

but mine dont wheelie so easily, to do what your doing I'd have to back up first....

I assume soft would cause wheelies cuz presumabley you'd have less grip if the springs are too hard? :willy

Spoon - My shocks are the Integy MSR4, made for T/E maxx. I have the stock springs on there which are blue. Mine is stiff still too. It bounces around a lot still but that's what makes it fun!

4wdmt - You need quicktime player to see the vids. I am using an Integy charger. 16x405D2. And the batteries are SMC ib4200. My matched 3300 packs don't do wheelies as good...

Hey, I can watch the wheelie video! looks like fun! I cant believe a good charger can really make a big difference. to think the batt pack you mentioned is not even matched and it has stocker motors.

You need a wheelie bar....rear and front, lol.

Cool Videos - thanks for sharing!

Hehe, I remember a while back when some kid here was bragging about how his truck was better than a Clod Buster because Clods couldn't do wheelies.

I've posted before in stocker [posts that mine did wheelies, but they were nothing like yours. Those are vicious. Mine were controllable. I've been seriously considering reducing my Z3 to a stock wheelbasebecause I miss the wheelies so much. Your video isn't helping matter much :banghead Now I know I need a better charger and a short-wheelbase. Wicked ride, Kenny.

:ack - several Tamiyas are made to wheelie, but I wouldnt class a wild willy or a midnight pumpkin as a superior truck to the clod just cuz of wheelies... :rof

Yeah the short wheelbase has a lot do with it. Any longer and it would not do wheelies I bet...
