My Stampede's new facelift

Ever since i first got into the hobby back in the day with my first pede I have wanted a full TTR pede chassis and cage kit. I would spend hours dreaming up ways to afford one but never could quite get the cash I needed for one. Now however I can say my dream has come true.

I picked this setup up off of my boy MTADDICT and wasted no time in getting it installed. Man does this setup take a plane jane pede and make it wild. The rear cantilever setup is just wicked and I cant wait to see how much better it handles with the sway bars front and rear.

Still need to find a body, but here are some pics.

Makes me miss the 2 I used to have, a G10 and a Carbon fiber.

I ran a novak 5.5 brushless in my last one and it was insane.

Looks sick Mo, I destroyed my TTR pede recently :-( I was killllllling it while on lunch at work launching the thing off a seriously shady ramp and landing it to flat... 10 turn hand wound made it really boogy but after numerous tumbles and crashes I bent every screw that holds the cage all together:bang so now I need to find new hardware for it.

Mike.. im sad to hear that you destroyed it! They are such nice trucks.

I made a few changes today. I thought the 2.2 tires were just too small with the larger body I was forced to run on the new chassis so I bumped them up to 2.8 Imex tires. Now these tires arent the best.. they are about as poorly molded as you can get like almost every new Imex tire but they look great and don't run too horribly so they are staying.

Im also not a big fan of the width difference the Pede has between the front and rear end (not sure if anybody is) so I dug up some old notes I had on a cool modification. It uses HPI nitro rush front arms which bolt up almost perfectly with only a few small shims and slightly longer turnbuckles. The end result is a Pede thats almost perfectly even front and back that allows you to run equal offset rims front and rear.

Much better.

I officially envy you now.

Too cool, buddy! I've always wanted one of those frames.
Let me know if you ever decide to part with it...seriously.
