My Rig Has Been Damaged.

A friend of mine was over and I accidentally startled him. He fell back slightly and my guitar went with him. The guitar neck fell and made contact with my knight hauler grill. :banghead It was my fault. Had I not startled my friend, he wouldn't of backed up and knocked my over guitar. This really sucks! I will now have to go to tamiyausa.com and buy the right parts tree. I haven't checked yet but I think the parts tree this grill is on costs damn near $30 scoots! :banghead :banghead

unlucky...at least it can be replaced tho, not like breaking a rare part on a vintage Tamiya....

Just found the exact part I need. Its $28 plus $7 for shipping. That's one thing I don't like about Tamiya parts tree's...ya gotta buy the whole thing to get one little part off it.

I understand what you are saying but think about it this way. Tamiya, for that matter any manufacturer, will create trees of parts because each part has to be made from plastic injection into a mold. Each mold cost thousands and thousands of dollars. Now, if Tamiya made a mold for each part then your cost would be triple what you are paying now. And I'm not exaggerating; it would be triple the cost to pay for the extra molds, time, plastic wasted, etc.

So in fact, it may be a pain to have to buy the whole tree, but it is cheaper then if they made the parts individually.

Other company's do sell individual parts at reasonable prices. I've been buying replacement traxxas parts for some time now. There may be an extra part here or there that's included becuase some of their items are on parts trees but they don't cram 20-30 items into one unit and charge more for it. It sucks, I'm complaining, and eventually I'll fork out the cash to fix it but its still is a big waste of cash for me no matter how I look at it. Except for the part I need that is

Atleast it was only the grill! That could have been REALLY bad had it fallen a half inch in the other direction. Or you could leave it like that, and rough up the rest of the truck for that "Mad Max" look lol.

It definitely could have been worse. I could of cracked my guitar neck, which would cost me a LOT more than $30 to fix.

Yup they are cockatiels. I've been trying to train them to "step up" onto my finger. I did train the female to step up without having to say one word but the male is fearful and more wild. He flies around the room like he's crazy or something. I think I need to clip their wings but don't know how and wouldn't want to risk injuring the birds. Do you have birds?

I think they are quite annoying but other people in the house like them so I'm beat :lol. They aren't technically mine but I give them more attention than anyone, lol.
