My "New" USA-1

So I saw a USA-1 listed on another site and kept going back and forth about buying the truck. It was listed with a sassy chassis, aluminum steering racks, all the thorpe parts and a 1/4 scale servo with twin green monster motors.

The pictures weren't great and frankly, I'm always hesitant about buying the old Kyosho trucks used because they can be in such rough shape but still look good.

Well the truck arrived today and I'm truly impressed. After buying it, I was pretty sure I was going to test it out and then sell it, but now I'm not so sure. The body is in excellent shape, just missing the engine and a mirror. Not crazy about the all black paint but whatever, the decals make up for it.

The previous owner really went all out.

Well the truck came in, I installed a battery box on top of the chassis (because the servo sits where the battery normally would go (I like this setup better anyway). The truck was EASILY as good as the seller said. Not a single broken part except for missing the motor in the body and 1 sideview mirror. It's got all the hop ups, sassy chassis, thorpe diffs, thorpe dogbones and axles, aluminum steering and a center mounted 1/4 scale servo that can turn all 4 tires with the truck standing still. It also came with a pair of green monster motors, and overall the truck is really clean for it's age.

I installed a rooster reversible esc, plugged a battery in and set up my Flysky radio and took it out for a spin. This truck is a BLAST! So much better than the stock USA-1 I had before.

looks good
I believe they made 2 versions of the ''box'' chassis, a long and a short. Looks like you might have the long. I had a short, it was very wheely happy.

Those chassis worked great unless you bent te ends, then it was all over after that.

I'd keep that one, she's a beauty with all those aftermarket parts.

Nice to see you posted it over here ... glad you like it so far Will your correct it's the "Long" version of the "Box" styled Sassy Chassy ... if you keep it and get the chance to run it i would not mind seeing a short vid of how it runs
