-yeah, but they're easily removed. These things run great with an ESC, they even have a clutch in each gearbox. With these 2, I'll have had 6 total of them, my sister bought me my first one as a graduation gift in the summer of 98':)

6 of them huh, I guess you have some experience with these :) How much do you plan on modifying them if that is your intention and what if anything have you done to the others?

-the first 2 were kept stock, (looking), but I used my trusty Novak 610HRV in them, (I only had 1 going at a time), the 2nd 2 are sitting on the shelf, as part of my room's dust collection system. I bought these last 2, on impulse buy, I couldn't pass-up the deal. The prev. 4 were all Radio Shack, these 2 new ones are Nikko, (basically the same, but the Nikko's have chromed rims & stacks, whereas the RS's have brushed alum.)
-I don't really know what I'll do with them, I may even hang onto them for trades, etc.:)

-they have the same chassis, but completely different gearboxes, The "Hercules/Extreme Machine", has bigger gears, tho, the layout/setup, is the same. I had a "Thor", it only had 380's, tho, it could have ran 540's, as the "beef" was there enough for it.:tmb

I used one of these bodies on a blackfoot and it fit very nicely. I cut off the stack mounts and looked a lot better....I think I have pics of it in my tamiya club folder...will have to look...

OHHH MAN I Remember these. I too had the big green one from RS. Most fun R/C before I met the Clod (came a couple years after) but these guys are fun and nice and bouncy when running. I remember taking mine apart as well and upgrading the body with a new paint job like the Dodge Viper and added Xmas lights to the front for function headlights. I did so much stuff to mine and still miss the truck. I think if there was a way to mount some Clod tires to it that it'd be even more awesome.
