Well christmas came a little early for me this year. The wife got her new boxer puppy early this year so I got this. Also helped that Tower Hobbies had it on sale so saved over $100 off their regular price. It's all stock and hasnt been ran yet. I went and bought a new Rooster crawler ESC and Fifty-five motor with her blessing as she said no cheap stuff in it. I just finished up the body today. The colors are Testors Blazing black for the top and rear flares and Root beer metallic for the body. I'm waiting for a radio/rec in a trade i did so can get it running.

Looking good, are you going to adjust the wheelbase or just run it?

I moved the rear link mount positions and cut them a bit as well to bring the rear forward to center better in the wheelwell. Then I notched the front for the bumper mounts and dropped the body down a bit.

Not sure yet Will. Have to see when the radio gets here. I do have another set of wheels comin and some PL Hammers with the memory foams. Just trying to get it figured out for when a friend visits in a few weeks.

I doubt this gets aa beetle body. I'm kinda fond of the Yota. As soon as I can figure out my charger issue I'll run it as took a radio out of something else that was just sitting. I bought a new battery for it too.

Well got another early xmas present from my good buddy Rich the other day so I painted it up and put it on and I have to say I like it better than the FJ body...

Yes it's been outside a few times....nothing really hardcore just couple piles of stuff... No real rock time yet. So far I'm really digging it....I also added a TLU01 light kit to it as well...

I love the color on the FJ:tmb. Tower hobbies is strange like that. They had the Landcruiser at $240 a couple of weeks ago and then it went up to $389 and a couple of days ago it was $324. I just ordered one with my $60 off coupon. It really pays to be a supersaver club member. Watching the prices at Tower is like watching the stock market!!!

yeah that's their daily sale...usually applies to stuff they have in overstock status...everyday it goes down each day until it gets out....Last time cr01 got down to like $220. I would think that would be maximum below cost price so they started it all over again...They are doing the same thing with the Hilux at the moment...
