Did you buy it from Towerhobbies?

My first body came in with a crease, so I called TH and they sent me a replacement free of charge and let me keep the old one too.

If you did buy form TH, you might want to give that a shot. You'd at least have a repairable body already painted and another backup on the way.

No, I didn't get it from tower. I got it off ebay from a hobby shop in California, it was brand new and sealed in the original factory packaging. That's why I'm gonna callhpi directly.

Looks good, dude. Way better than the last body you had on there!

Any luck with HPI?

Hey, I gotta give that old red Chevy a ton of credit. That thing has been around since no later than '95, maybe earlier and it was nearly perfect till I put it on the clod. Haven't talked to hpi yet. My well pump died yesterday so I was involved with that all day and forgot too call them.

Ha! Gotta give those Chevy trucks some credit; they last a long time.

Something tells me that this blue Chevy isn't going to fair as well as the red one. It just seems very thin and fragile. They just don't build trucks like they used to. I started drilling and tapping my links for the bigger revo rod ends last night. Ran out of threaded rod so I only got two done, but at least the broken/sticking and creaking link is fixed, that was driving me crazy I tell ya. And the boss man is going ice fishing tomorrow so I'll probably get the cage painted black. I think I'm gonna with txt's suggestion and shoot the whole chassis black to make it all match. We'll see how ambitious I am tonight and maybe I'll get it all done tomorrow.

A little video shot in my living room since it's like Arctic outside around here. Just a little playing around.

The chassis looks great all black, Love the cat in the video.
Oh man, I hadn't noticed that critter was even in the house. I usually throw it out as soon as I see it. I'm allergic, it's my wife's/daughters cat. I had to watch the video again to see what you were talking about.

So I'm back, fresh off my 30 day vacation. I've done a few things in that time so here are some update pictures of my rig. First one shows off some goofing around. I trimmed the corners off of the bottom of the chassis since they were hitting on the links under full articulation, especially since I changed the rod ends to revo ends with jam nuts. You can also see the sponsor plates I made. I needt to get some real decals though. There's also the floor board, and the not so scale Lego driver and steering wheel.

I got a couple new parts in the mail today...

That's right, actual fancy machined parts!

Still need to pick up some screws to fasten the links to the mount though.
