My Highlift Hilux build...

I thought I'd do something different here. I dont think I've ever done a buildup thread before. I usually just start building and snap pics of the finished product. Right now I'm waiting on a set of bearings to arrive from Hong Kong. Hopefully they will be here very soon. I dont have that many plans for it as of yet other than maybe a new set of rims and tires as i'm not much for the stockers. Not sure if I'll be using the body as have another one on the way from PA.

Well I know why I dont do build up threads...I just hate stopping to take pics during a build! Here's a snap a few steps into it...

and a couple more...Pretty much done and built and running...I modified the body mounts to lower the body about 3/4 inch to give it a better stance.

I'm hoping to start on a winch mount for my 3racing winch....

heres the winch mount I came up with..I kinda goofed and thought the roller fairlead was centered on the winch but I like how it turned out...

That winch mount look great:tmb:tmb

The whole truck is coming together, although I think a taller 1.9 tire would help fill the wheel wells.

I'm looking into RC4wd's Mud Thrasher or the new PL 1.9 Flat Iron. But from what I've been hearing they are both really soft and dont hold up to all the weight of a stock Highlift. Most have been stuffing modified 2.2 foams in them to beef them up.

Just looked at your pictures again......I guess you don't need any motors (picture 1 & 3) do yeah:rof

That would be a tuff call on the tires they both look good to me:tmb
