My Clod

Just back into this bad boy as its been sitting for years and some of those years on a porch outside, The tires where exploded and shredded. Just replaced those. The aluminum wheels had to be polished, they came out real good. The paint is gone also, with the clear coat chipping. Was painted around 1989, 1990. Will be getting another Clod body for a custom airbrush paint job from someone, I will have to find.

Welcome to RCMT :)

Clod looks pretty good for sitting that long. The paint looks like it was pretty cool at one time, from the picture not that bad now? Sure you couldn't wet sand with some fine paper and re-clearcoat?

Welcome to the boards man!! Yeah that looks pretty decent for it sitting for so long. That is half the fun, tearing em apart and re-doing them.

Wheels shined up nice, and the body doesn't look bad at all for being outside. An aluminum bedliner would really set off that paint though.

Its nice to see an original owner 'survivor' like that well loved Clod!

Looks great for its age!

Welcome aboard!

Please keep us updated on its facelift!

Thanks for the kind words guys..I'll see what I can do with this paint, see if its possible to touch up and reclearcoat. It probably was outside for about 3 or 4 years, and inside before that. Looks decent right now because I cleaned the hell out of it. Amazing the chrome differential and struts came out like new. The only chrome that went bad is one of the rollbars.
Just picked up an aluminum Sassy chassis on ebay for NOT cheap. will need new electronics so the bad boy will be down for quite awhile till I figure it all out and whats the in stuff today. Its all old stuff I have.

Those look a little better than my Midnight Pumpkin tires when I pulled it out of retirement this summer. Wish i took pics of them. odd they look like they melted to the rims.
