they are prety soft will... i havnt tried them without foams, but you can see the compresion when you try and climb up over stuff... if you thought the bfg was soft, this will be like pillows... lol..
i dont have a comparo pic, but they are a mm or so taller than the high lift tire, i think there is a pic over on scale... yup found it, here is the thread...

i think you should get a set for your lift, they are taller and would help fill the wells better, and they do perform better, altho you will more than likley need the foams that come with them, altho i have seen a guy run with out foams and they didnt buckle too much... i guess it depends on your truck..

the wheels are plastic.. i think they are made by hpi... not sure tho, i just grabed a quick set from the lhs for another set of tires i sold... had em layin around, and maybe not the best look, but it saves money...
