took a break from working on my speed clod and worked on my cc01 i just got...

did the usual "brick removal" today, as well as put spacers under the front skid to lift the chassis up a bit...also ground out a bit of the hub carrier for more travel...

also tweaked the rear suspension...i was all set to go and 4-link it, but with a little messing around with some shocks, i discovered that maxx shocks mounted up and set for droop made for a lot of travel...

it crawls pretty good with this setup now...now as good as a scaler with 2.2s, but impressive for this chassis i think...

i was a bit bummed out though...the winch motor heated up- maybe the radio got hit and it set to rewind the winch...now it doesnt work at all :( i think the controller burned up as there's a burnt smell from it...

Wow, that travel is pretty awesome. I had no idea.

Ummmm, maybe I should get one of these.

Sucks about the winch. I know it was perfect before I mailed it to you. I tested it several times.

it's all your fault...i blame you for it all...

if you didnt sell me the jeep body, none of this woulda happened...and no worries, the winch was working fine when i received the body...i know you didnt sell me a broken part...i think the controller got hit, then locked up the winch in the retract positon, which burned it out...i'd try to use some old servo electrics to salvage it, but motor is brushless, and needs 3 wires...i'll see if there's anyone with a similar controller that i can test and troubleshoot...

after i got the body, i planned on putting it on my wheely king...but wheelbase was off, so i put it on the side, but it kept staring me in the face to be put on a chassis...so i hunted and found a cc-01...then made the tweaks in in thread...then gonna get a new winch controller eventually...then i put in LED lights...then i bought GPM steering kit and cvds for it...then i bought some used proline tires, but because there was a misunderstanding, i only got a pair instead of a pair of packages...now i just ordered a full set of 4 used ones...and im debating picking up a set of the rims like the spare to make it all match...so yeah, all your fault...lol...

Saw that...I wanna make sure it's the controller and not the motor first though... Would hate to buy the controller and discover the motor is toast as well...

If I have to replace it, I may just make one with a servo instead, and have it "hide" behind the housing of the winch...

1.9 proline chisels...

looks like the cc-01 can use up to a 4" diameter tire without going extensive on cutting the body/chassis up...others said anything over the 4" will require a lot more modding...
