My Brushless Clodzilla II Build

Alright guys, what do you think? How did I do with my first without the instructions build?

I got tired of waiting for the chrome electronics tray from Spain, so I just used the stock one. I think I'm going to give my Boy my stocker and a Zilla II kit for his B-day at the end of the month. I'll give him the chrome one if it ever shows up...

RC4WD sideways shock mounts. BIG improvement over the ones that I "modified". You can see that the steering rods are a little sshort here. ESP is sending me new ones for free. I have to say that they've been really great to deal with.

My Fiance took over the picture taking process. She told me that I wasn't "staging" properly... I have to admit that hers came out better... For some reason the green is coming out lighter than it really is in the pictures.

I didn't like the bed all green, so I ordered a "sample size" sheet of textured carbon fiber decal from ebay.

I wish I'd painted the grill black, but after fighting to mask off the toolbox, I just didn't want to deal with it LOL!. I also got the black bumpers and rod ends on. I think it looks SO much better than with the blue.

This is the only half way decent picture that I got before my better half took over

And last, but not least. I'm thinking of getting into scale modeling, so I added a realistic, and very to scale driver...

So the truck is pretty much done at this point. I'm just waiting on the longer steering rods and swaybar kit to come from ESP.

Nice build. What brand servo mount is that?
Thank you. They're ESP Rockzilla mounts. I like them. They're nice and beefy and work well. You do need a widening kit to use them though. The steering rod they send is a little short if you are using the stock plastic rod ends, as it is made to work with there longer ones. They do have the correct length though if you need it. The servo mounts aren't advertised on there site, as the Rokzilla is kinda dead at this point, but they do have them.

I got both mounts, steering kit, and hardware for $60 I think.

This thing is officially 100% done now! I got my longer steering rods and swaybars from ESP today and put them on. I also added the final few decals. I think the swaybars are going to make a big difference. I can feel that the axles are going to be kept centered now.

I ordered my boy a Zilla II kit to go with my stock Clod that I'm giving him for his B-day yesterday, so it looks like I'll get to do it all over again soon! We also got his Hornet all built tonight. Just need to paint it tomorrow.

Here's some outside shots of the Zilla from this morning in the fresh snow. You can see the actual color of the truck in the natural light.
