Finally back to work on my F350.... Since every seems to think their highlifts are made of solid gold, I'm building dang near everything.... Got the frame and springs from different members here, got TLT axles and highlift wheels coming till I can afford some RC4wd axles. No sure how I'm gonna do the trans yet, I still need one.:bang

So here is the start of the frame....

More pics to come....:wnk

TLT axles installed now with Tamiya F150 wheels...

I still got to cut the rails down...

Little more work to do to on servo mounting.

Oh and the reason the it's black on the front is i'm working on the flames lol.

I finally got back to work on the scaler, I got a highlift trans, got some stampede drive shafts, Highlift shocks, and finally finished the body, now all that is left is to work on lights and brush guard....

I modded a Traxxas TQ3 so the 3rd chan would have positions to work the trans....

after I got the trans together I just set the body on top to try and get the fitmet right...

Now keep in mind I didn't get the flames exactly matching to my truck, but oh well, the truck still turned out good I think...
Here's the chassis, I still need to cut the rear shorter.

Once I got the body mounted and held in place...

So what do ya'll think??

Very nice and good job. Do you plan on cutting down the frame rails that are slightly sticking out of the back?

Also, were did you get the frame rails from? Were they pre-drilled? I would like to build one as you suggest.

Thanks.

I ended up cutting the rails, there were not predrilled, but it wasn't hard to drill. They're just a c-channel style I picked up on here from another member, however I noticed you can get the same c channel from Home Depot lol.

I have some bigger tires on it right now, I'll post some pics of it up how it's coming along.

Not really an axial fan, plus I would have to find leafs for it.
Ya gotta be kidding right? Axial scx10's are so sweet!

Awesome buildup btw! Excellent work on the body. I'm one of those people who would never attempt cutting a tamiya hard body for fear of ruining it. I heard you can use dental floss to cut it. Is that how you did it?
