Was there much of a different between this and the bruiser?
Difference between the 2 are
Wheels,
Bruiser was a multi piece wheel with inserts to stiffen the tire sidewall. Mounty was more like a standard 2.2 wheel.

Battery tray
Bruiser had a plastic section and 2 metal ''extensions'' to accommodate a large brick hardcase battery.

Truck bed
Bruiser had a molded in cab extension. Mounty had a full bed with a rollbar/lightbar and rear cab 'wall'' with a back window.

Driveshafts
They were brass on the bruiser, chrome plated on mounty

Decal sheet

if anything like the re-release bruiser it's better
Better stronger axles with a choice to lock the diff or not. (metal case axles)
Better axle king pin design, and better front knuckle without the 1 way bearing setup
540 motor instead of the lame unresponsive 750 jumbo can slug
Choice to make working turn signals, brake and reverse lights

IMHO a much better truck than the originals, especially if you like to drive them

I had the re-release but sold it. I did build it more like a Mounty, but with 1.9 tires from RC4WD and wheels from RC-Channel. I had to drill and tap (5) 2mm holes per wheel
