Motors for EVX 2

I had the traxxas titan 550 motors in my terminator cold with the evx2 speed controller. For some reason the rear motor just stopped working - completely dead. I put battery power directly to its terminals and nothing. I was wondering if there are any other brushed motors you would recommend that would provide more speed but still have some nice torque that will work with this speed controller. I am running a 4s lipo 5000 bat. thanks.

You might try the 12 turn titans, but only on 8.4 volts.Traxxas doesn't recommend running them in tandem but they are zero timed so They may work.

FYI.......Titan 12T have fixed advanced timing.

The stock Titans are advanced too. That's why they make a "reverse" one for the Revos.

I have the e-revo Titans (rear is reverse rotation) in my clod with an EVX2. So far no problems at all. Goes pretty good too.

funny i read the 12turns are zero timing ..... i just reversed the wires on the back and no issues

It would be nice to know for sure. Anyone have a motor dyno that they can check with? Maybe a prop on a reverse and forward motor and use a prop tach to see what RPMs they develop under power would do it as well.

I have normal wind motors in a truck right now and the tranny is flipped. I had to wire them backwards for the EVX-2 to run forwards correctly. I swear it runs faster in reverse.

I either need to run the diffs the other direction or put reverse motors in to make sure.
