Yep, they can go in Conversion if nothing else. But, a new class for them would be cool too. Thumbs up Digger for adding that if enough show up.

Well, I doubt if there will be enough for both stock and mod classes, but how about just adding a "Trophy Truck" class and putting all Slashes in that? With the road course layout, there probably wont be a huge difference in lap times between stock and mod anyways...

Can we confirm a third for sure? I'll order a trophy for it! :tmb

Tom, you were one of the original crew to come to these events and I am *very* sorry to hear your health has you down. It's guys like you we hate to see not be able to come because you always came and raced for the right reasons.........to have fun racing and just shoot the breeze with everybody and to simply just have a great weekend with friends.

I wish you the absolute VERY best and hope that your helth returns as soon as possible. We all know that nothing else matters if you don't have your health. Good luck and take care Tom. Keep on eye on the boards around event time and you can see how things went.:tmb

Tom, it wont quite be the same without you. If there's anything I can do to help get you here, please don't hesitate to let me know. As Mike said, we all wish you the very best and that your health returns quickly!

I will have the results posted as soon as I can after the event, and I'm sure there will be a ton of pictures!

Hope you can make it up again soon!

Yes, there will be tons of pics, and I got me a real digi cam finally. Sony Cybershot H-10 8.1 megapixel and a 2 gig card. There will be pics :) :pics

Just got back from practice night. I built a new trials obstacle. Wicked Rickedy Wicker! Imagine a seesaw that can pivot in any direction! LOL! It will definately be interesting...

I also re-finished the frame twister and the rock face and I have plans to refinish the ditch as well. With a little help from some regulars, we re-did some of the black pipe anchors and put some fresh pipe down, so the track is looking really good. All gearing up for the jam!

Whats the word on Lipo's? I have a truck I would love to run one in.. just not sure if you are running them out there yet?

No one has been running them regularly around here yet, so I haven't gotten to experience them first hand. Until I have more knowledge about them, I'm gonna have to say that they can be run in Open for lap racing as well as Trials. I'll definately do some more research and maybe we can expand that to other classes for WMB7...

I think that's the smart way to approach this topic for now. Being we are less than a month away from the event, I don't want to upset people by at the last minute announcing, "Oh, btw, Lipo's are allowed across the board in all classes." We'll work them in at a pace that works best for everybody.

Sounds good. Im not looking to stir up any controversy with the lipo proposal, sorry if it came across that way. I agree that we need to take it one step at a time and figure this whole new technology situation out. I just figured I would ask since I would like to see how the dual BL/lipo setup runs in a competitive format and being that this is really my only venue to try it I figured I would ask.

So if thats the OK to run it in open Ill get cracking on getting it setup. I figured open would be the class to run it in since its always been our experimental class. Cant wait to see how it runs.

I wasn't sure what you were planning to run the Lipo setup in........sounds like a Clod. That's really what I was hoping for Mo. I want to see more Clods running this and see the difference in performance.

Some of know the NRCTPA recently brought BL in to all Mod classes and now we're working on Lipo. When it came to the Bradenville races I have always strived to keep both types of racing as close to the same as possible so people racing in both don't have to make a lot of changes to their trucks. Instead of Bradenville following suit with the NRCTPA, we are going to take the first step this time and bring Lipo's in on a limited basis.

So, if you have a setup to run Lipo, bring it and enter it in Open. The truck must be 4WD. The rules for that class are posted in the main topic.
