Mini spidey got a little bit of a dress-up. Amazing what some powder coating can do! I also updated the reader's rides post as well.

I like it! Looks really sharp to me now. Plus I finally found a Tyco 6.0volt Grave Digger for TOTAL CARNAGE to put on his TLT:

It's pretty cool what all you can do with these little trucks! From mini racer monster to scaler rock crawlers. I'm still collecting Tyco 6.0 volt Monster Jam trucks/bodies for other people as well. Right now the hunt is on for a TMNT body(Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle!LOL!)

Nice find on those bodies! Are they hard to find? That gravedigger looks like it will look good on my TLT tuber.:drool

Nive work, Digger:tmb It's cool to see people running them near stock. Ilike the blue links, too. I'm trying to do the same, but I can't ge ahold of a Maxx Climber chassis. I gotta have that black chassis:willy

Thanks guys. The bodies aren't too hard to find, I bought spidey a while ago at Walmart before they were discontinued and I found the Grave Digger on Ebay. Keep your eyes open on Ebay for Tyco 6.0 volt monster jam r/c's, you can find them for $20 or less shipped. They are the perfect size and scale for the stock TLT size chassis!

Supreme Reign: I happen to have an extra NIB pair of black max climber chassis plates. Got anything small to trade?:tmb

I have collected a few extra pieces from people that used just the axles for their rock crawler projects. I even have an extra set of brand new red max climber rims and new tires...

The links I made myself with pieces of 3/16" tap-able tubing from the hobby shop. I just cut them to length, enlarged the center hole to 2.5mm with a drill bit that came with a 3mm tap, then tapped the ends and used 3x20mm stainless set screws as studs to hold on the rod ends. I made the cross members the same way from the same material. I gave all the links to the powder-coater at the same time as the chassis and motor plates so he could do them all at once. They came out great! Next I just need to try and get red or maybe yellow shocks for it, I am not really digging the gold anodizing...:reye

I have nothing small to trade, but am willing to buy them for a reasonable fee:) PM me about the price to keep this thread clean.

Anybody have any ideas for the shocks? Powder coating probably wouldn't work too well, the springs might not fit...

I would try taking the anodizing off the stock shocks and painting them red with that anodizing paint (forgot the name). Another option would be to get some GPM red alloy shocks. I got a set of purple ones on my TLT and they are very nice!:)

Btw, do you have a picture of the packaging of the Tyco trucks? I want to check the local walmarts to see if they carry them.:drool

I don't think so, all of the hotwheels r/c ones I've seen have been too small to look right IMO on the TLT chassis... I don't have any pics of the packaging, but I do know that you are looking for the Tyco 6.0 volt ones that take the Tyco 6.0 volt cartidge style battery pack...
