Well living where I live sucks for Rc Rock crawling because I am missing the key ingredient which would be the ROCKS :bang so Jeff (bluenite608) and I are improvising and building our own mini scale off road park. Heres what we started with

My ROCK pile :rof pretty sweet right?? you can kill about 3 secs of time...or yourself from the boredom on them :reye

sooo Jeff got out the lawn tractor thats on steroids and started digging

I started making some cool bridges out of an old tree and some scrap wood

Jeff continued to dig, one trench is going to be a water hazard trench, we are going to mount a bucket up in a tree with a hose coming down from the bottom of it so when it rains, itll refill it...of course we need to get some rocks in it otherwise itll be a straight mud run...may not be bad though either :cool

I tested out the bridges I made with the 3fity truggy, was out in my Tacoma

it started to rain, so we had to call it quits, but I got all of my rocks out and started lining the one trail..ran out of course :x

Well thats about it for now... we SERIOUSLY NEED ROCKS, we are trying to find a dump truck load...literally:tong so yea, thats it so far, just thought id share

Looks great. Lots of room to build and expand. Very cool :tmb

Don't you have a river or lake around you some where? There are always rocks around there. :wnk

Go to a Lowes or Home Depot and price some mortar. Tile mortar will be more expensive than brick, but tile mortar is flexible. I think the scale4x4 thread mentions he puts it on 1/2 inch thick. You could bust that up and redo it if you get bored.

Mixing it yourself will cost less, but Lowes doesn't have a price listed for the mixes on their site:

One of these should do the trick. I made a walkway with some of this stuff at one point. They had different dyes you could add to the mix to make differently colored "stones." I'll see if I have a pic anywhere.

Yeah, no kidding. If I had space like that to build a track I would build one for rock crawling and one for Nitro.

So jealous :drool :drool :shk
